Christisis: Now Available!

CLICK TO PURCHASE

This text is one of Reuben Clymers' initiatory manuscripts, and is literally branded as being involved with the Illuminati- the teachings are somewhat easily understood; that there is a sort of enlightened age coming, and that people can ascend spiritually and mentally through a combination of self control, self awareness, and varied practice- this "Christisis" concept is both a quasi-theistic figure and an internalized, psychological and mystic concept. While it stresses belief in the specifically Christian god, it also recommends Eastern exercises related to proper breathing, meditation, etc.

Shinto: The Ancient Religion of Japan: Now Available!

This short work is a compilation of religious lore mainly of a historical background. The primordial Japanese religion of Shinto is quite complex, but the linguistic content here is secondary and much of it is a description of the different types and usages of deities and rituals. It is worth noting that Astons' study coincides with the rise of Japan as a power in the world and the analysis herein is not so much tainted as colored by that.

Swedenborg and the Sapienta Angelica: Now Available!

This intermediate-length text is essentially three short works in one; the first third of the work is an autobiography of Emanuel Swedenborg and the second a brief overview of some of his more important works. In both, there are bits of his overarching philosophy listed and described briefly. The final section is a fairly lengthy bibliographic appendix listing both his works and the works of those about him available at the time.

The man himself is rather an enigma; he began receiving religiously themed visions and dreams and abandoned secular philosophy, inventing, and basic science, in favor of theological and spiritually philosophical work, which he wrote profusely. A small religious sect has sprung up around his teachings (which adherents appear to regard similarly to how Mormons see Joseph Smith.) His detractors consider Swedenborg to be either opportunist or madman. However, his genius cannot be denied; he developed the basic idea of neurons long before modern studies of the brain and was notable in his engineering finesse.

General Update: The Final Stretch And Amazon's Slow Processing Times

Alright everyone time for a new general update!

Editing by and large has been going about as normal, but you might have noticed a slowdown in actual work output... why?

Well the answer is simple; Amazon used to process files and give them their check for copyright etc within 72 hours of file uploads; at a maximum this meant a week to finalize everything because even if it got a copyright double-check, only another three days at most was needed, since it takes me at most five to ten minutes to respond to copyright queries, as I always keep links to the source files just in case of such a thing.

Now, 72 hours is less than the MINIMUM time it takes for the file to either be accepted or queried by Amazon; it's usually closer to five working days; in other words, a whole week. The book I posted here yesterday had taken no less than ten days to process and be allowed. Edition 280- "Christ or Buddha"- is as we speak still being reviewed, and will also take at least nine days total; it got a copyright query, thus at least doubling the review time.

While I can understand Amazon slowing down some of its services due to pandemic, I am still flabbergasted why all these large tech firms (Youtube and Facebook also) can't seem to keep pace with things using a remote workforce; moderation staff tend to be offshored anyways, and can work from home. Delivery times are so slow that paperback sales collapsed for several weeks (and have partly recovered now) necessitating I release a couple dozen new works on KDP to make ends meet; while this worked, it was a hassle.

In happier news I just got done with the 281st work so I am now in the final stretch of completing the third and final mandatory part of my extremely long term literary crusade. Once I hit the 300th edited work, I intend to take some time just to organize files and even longer-term projects both authored and edited, because after that I can take it a bit more easy. I also want to compile works within occult subgenres to provide collected critical editions with more notes, fleshed out bibliographic material, and commentary.

Occult Japan: Now Available!

The topic of Shinto is one I haven't really studied much of before; I waited for years to finally attain a proper copy of this book that could reasonably be edited from and was finally able to do so fairly recently. Its author needs little introduction since he wasn't just an avid studier of Asian religion but also an astronomer of considerable fame who proclaimed Mars to be covered in artificial canals.

The work is almost more notable for its time period and cultural significance than for its strictly religious content since it was written from a western perspective in the very center of the Meiji period- the rapidly shifting cultural ethos of Japan is thus overlapped seamlessly with age-old ritual customs and spiritual lore in this work, acting almost as a time capsule. Highly recommended.

General Update Time!

Alright everyone!

I have gotten back into the swing of editing. I am currently working on Waites' "Devil Worship in France" which is a great book- after that I have several dozen more works planned. Happily, I have someone looking at illustrating a pair of herbals and a work by Manly Hall.

That will round of the work through July, probably. I need to go on a hunt for new literary material due to a glaring oversight on my part for years which has handicapped me- let's just say I am not an expert with regards to pdf files! This is a happy thing though; the amount of material I can work with has at least tripled upon recognition of this "misfortune."

Soon I plan on making two new sections on the literary blogs, because the amount of work has become too large for the current categorization system.

Happy times!

The Theosophy of Christ: Now Available!

This short work represents a contemporary look at Theosophy from a perspective different from that of the Oriental tradition. While Theosophy at large brought East to West, this and similar works spoke more of Jesus and attempted to re-assert the supremacy of Christendom over spiritism and similar phenomena.

Largely, it encourages prayer for healing, claiming that the dispensation of healing miracles did not end in antiquity.

The Laws of the Higher Life: Now Available!

This short work is one of the many writings of the rather famous (or infamous!) Annie Besant; a Theosophist and one of the main figures thereof. This work lays out three particular laws (or sets of laws) governing a higher existence, ascendant and enlightened. They are, respectively, consciousness, duty, and sacrifice, and form a deeply Hinduism-tainted variant of Theosophy in part derived from her continuingly deep involvement in the Indian liberation movement. It alludes to and quotes the Bhagavad Gita and speaks at some length of aspects of Hindu mythology.

General Update: Phase Three of Editing, Re-editing Project, etc!

Alright literary world; time for an important update!

With "Mystic Will" released two days ago as of the time of this post, it is now time for a general cursory overview of what happens next; all of my works through the last were under spiritual contract of sorts and I not only met but exceeded my goal time-wise. This sets the stage for continual literary success; not a lot of people have catalogs of releases that extend to the size I have amassed and there's nowhere to go but up.

The first goal after the 200th edition was to clean up my work files; I had four folders scattered across my computer and more on several USB drives with vestigial half-completed projects, source files I already edited from, and random images and notes I'd written. It took the last two days to clean them up. Now, that step is complete.

The second goal is to immediately complete a couple of the partially-done projects such as "Diabology" and possibly the "Asuri Kalpa" to knock them out of the way and be able to put those files at long last into the "completed works" storage.

The third goal is to really scrape my way through my usual sources for material to edit from and try to grab a few dozen more works of note. I culled my source files from about 1,000 to 54 in total, removing overly long works, poorly formatted works, and works I am uninterested in. I want to make sure to still release works fairly regularly but it won't be nearly at the same rate as the last half a year or so.

The fourth goal is to get to re-editing a few of my releases, especially "Fruits of Eden" which I plan to have professionally re-illustrated, and will expand substantially, with a new foreword, one new section, and several dozen additional species entries now that I have so many herbal resources to draw from that I did not prior.

So it will be a busy half decade or so ahead. Cheers!

Celtic Religion: Now Available!

This little work is a fairly brief primer on the basics of Celtic spiritual systems. It goes into the division of the Druid priesthood in the pagan era, among other things, and correlates the development of the religious beliefs there with the advancement of contemporary culture. Altogether it's a very good work, although a few of the tenets it espouses have been largely forsaken by modern anthropology.

150th Edition Literary Update

Over the course of the next 48 or so hours I'll be completing another section of the Lesser Keys of Solomon (The Ars Paulina) and releasing it. This will be the 150th edition of occult literature I have released, between edited and self-written works, and so it's a fairly significant milestone.

It also means it's time for disclosing my subsequent plans!

For some time now I've let my files (pdfs, odt files, text file descriptions, illustrations, etc) build up in various folders, unsorted and so forth- I am going to take a day subsequent to the release of the Ars Paulina to simply organize my files. After that, I need to take a good couple of weeks for some other planned catching up for previous releases:

1. Remaking about three dozen covers, since I use a different, better font, trim, and logo.
2. A cursory grammar and spelling check for said releases.
3. Re-illustration of a few early works.
4. Completely re-processing every pdf file into an epub file so all the kindle ebooks will be 100% perfect in format. No more complaints about blank pages, etc.

This will occupy me probably through all of May and so, as such, after I link out the Ars Paulina there may not be any further updates until June. Releases will resume thereafter; I promised at least 200 editions, and it will almost surely be hundreds more over the years.

Magic of the Horse Shoe: Now Available!

This is one of the greater compilations of folklore I have encountered; written by Robert Means Lawrence, it compiles an extremely long and detailed bit of information related to the symbolism and use of horse shoes in the context of good luck and superstition, along with elaborate side topics like the similar superstitious use of salt, or of animals.

Not content to study one culture or time period, Lawrence helpfully decided to span several thousand years of human history in this text, and ruminated on the similarity and overlap between such traditions in dozens of cultures both extinct and then-modern. Those interested in the history of witchcraft, or of certain cryptozoological aspects, will also find a great deal of compiled material here.

Counterblast to Tobacco: Now Available!

This exceedingly short tract is of note for two reasons; its author and its early date for the content. Crafted at the dawn of the 17th century, it is the first anti-smoking tract, and was penned by none other than King James I himself, of "Daemonologie" fame.

Dwelling on both the humors and then-modern medical lore as well as the spiritual implications of smoking (it being according to his view a sin on several levels), the tract attempts to convince the population of James' time and lands to give up smoking except as a limited medicinal material, sarcastically declaring it miraculous that the same plant can cure sometimes congenitally opposed conditions.

Occult Memetics: Now Available!

(Please note; Amazon has retained the image of the first uploaded cover which was poorly formatted. This has been corrected but I do not know when the image will update.)

This is part four of my shorter works series, and the newest edition I myself have released.

It speaks of memetics in occult terms, propaganda, how to make it, the principles behind its use, the principles behind occult memetics at the very core of its meaning. I give anecdotal examples here, as well as general theory, before I expound on a few rough guides to methodology for those who actually desire to create propaganda for occult purposes.

A Blog Redesign and General Update!

At last it is time that my blog here has begun to grow out of its original format. I am actively planning the preliminary stages of acquiring a website to host my material (this blog will cross-link to it and the two operate in tandem using the benefits of both blogspot and my own website, which won't exist for some months to come.)

I have made a major decision in format for this blog; it doesn't make sense to have all of my works individually listed taking up precious space- it makes more sense to make a post and link it to a single tab for my own works. I have also decided that the rising number of quasi-academic materials I have edited (Aradia, Ophiolatreia, Chaldean Deluge, etc) should have their own category which will subsume a few of the works from two other categories; namely "spiritual works" and "folk magic and more" which will become just "folk magic" along with general occult folklore that was never academic in tone or style.

In happy update news, Sickness in Hell is on its final chapter and is almost done. I have also edited and am going to release Bacon's short but spectacular "The New Atlantis" which has several layers of spiritual meaning to it. Added to this will come the last three phallic series works, several more alchemical manuscripts, three more grimoires, and a slew of spiritual scriptures hopefully starting with the Kebra Negast which I mentioned previously.

I am also planning to write a series of short stories for release which will also later be compiled, as tends to happen with shorter materials.

Phallism (Crux Ansata): Now Available!

This work is wonderfully well crafted- not simply fixating solely on phallic worship in the most literal sense, it also describes the typical pagan origins of the christian cross, the phallic inclusions into then-modern christian, jewish, and islamic architecture, and describes the rituals of Hinduism, Mesoamerican natives, and others with regards to the phallus.

A counterpart to Cultus Arborum and other works, and released by the same private printing firm, this Victorian work was created at the height of the British Empire and thus fixates predominantly (but not exclusively) on cultures studied by explorers, soldiers, and academics from therein. Its common debasement of paganism as debauchery when connected to phallism is relieved by its frank honesty about the same inclusions within Abrahamic lore.

It is a priceless academic text; and all that much more precious to me since it lists four additional works released by the same company that I was not formerly aware of; including one on the Rosy Cross; I intend to edit and release the entire series over time.

Secretum Secretorum: Now Available!

This is one of the most important works within Medieval literature. Ascribed to Aristotle in his dialogue and letters to Alexander the Great, it actually dates to the 10th century or thereabouts and was originally composed in Arabic.

The Secretum Secretorum, or Kitab Sirr Al-asrar, delivers a lengthy and varied expose of truths and philosophical murmurings on topics ranging from medicine and dietary strategy, to governance, to battle and social mobility. In an era where most reigning monarchs were seen as tyrannical and absorbed entirely with the quest for wealth, sex, and expanded borders, this guide seems like a massively advanced philosophical tract by comparison. This edition has been rendered into fully modern English from extremely archaic English. It covers spiritual topics, physical topics, and much more.

Rosary of the Philosophers Update: Illustrating Begins... Notes on Alchemy

One of the illustrations present in the Rosary of the Philosophers.

Illustrating has begun for the Rosary of the Philosophers and is now approximately half completed. Many of the woodcuts present show the typical Sol and Luna being combined; the process by which the philosophical (alchemical) arts are completed. The work explains that for both pure sulfur and pure mercury, the solar and lunar element are present; in sulfur the physical outward appearance is that of the sun while the inward, hidden mercurial element is its true nature, and likewise the reverse is true for pure mercury, argent vive, in which the solar element is hidden within, while it presents its lunar, silvery nature tangibly.

It should be noted that alchemy and most alchemical works (including this one) are essentially steganographies- the foliated earth so often alluded to here is nothing more than organic material (compost) that has been leeched of its saltpeter content, such that the nitrates begin accumulating as a crust upon its surface- a process in altered form used in the production of the base matter from which gunpowder was and still is made (black powder, that is.) A true alchemical secret since such acts were, in those days, little other than wizardry to most.

Fruits of Eden, Herbalism and the Occult: Coming Soon

Corn; more occult than generally understood

I am happy to announce that as of yesterday the final editing and proofreading of Fruits of Eden was completed; it would have been done nigh on a year ago if I had thought to craft my own final version at the time, but the now defunct publisher hadn't yet gotten sketchy, so I went with the flow and suffered the consequences.

Illustrating has begun now as well; a few of the images are converted photographs and are thus "done" already; the rest have to be done by hand; about 70 illustrations total, of which the first 13 are now complete. These are primarily sketches of species mentioned in the four encyclopedic sections but also include garden design, illustrations of the simplistic aspects of making paper and ink, as well as incense and smudges, and the process of making charcoal for a soil amendment or as the base for homemade incense itself.

My artistic abilities are not as good as those of a professional illustrator and the end result will not be as refined as I had hoped; however they do serve the proper purpose and those I have shown them to are generally positive about my skills (more than I tend to be- perhaps I'm just too hard on myself.)
